Yes, we had a pet squirrel for a day or two. The kids named him "Buzz" and he was just a little baby that Brahm picked up in our back lawn one day. Serious! His mom got hit by a car and we heard him squealing in the tree for a few days before this. We took him to a place where they can help him/her survive until he's big enough to let out into the wild again. Bye, Buzz. The kids will miss you...

So did you guys get all dressed up for this squirrel, or what? I can't believe you could just pick it up! We have a squirrel in our backyard named Mater and he will walk up and almost eat out of our hands, but I don't want my kiddos to get scratched so I chicken out and toss the nuts at the last minute. We love Buzz! Were the boys so sad to see him go?
Yes, they were sad, but have conveniently forgotten about him! Convenient for me, that is. Oh, and no, we didn't get dressed up for Buzz. Funny story, we got locked out of our house after church on Sunday and I had just climbed the chimney up to the roof and climbed in our bedroom window. Weird, eh?
