Just to relax...

Here I am knitting with the help of a powdered chocolate container. I used it to put the ball of yarn in so it wouldn't roll around and unravel, and so the yard wouldn't twist and would stay taut. Pretty "caveman-ish", but it worked great. Nice outfit and hair, I know!
Here's my new hobby...knitting! Yep, I finally found something worth setting aside other important things for---so I can relax! This is the beginning of my second finished project, which took me about 4 days. My first was a lovely bookmark for McKay (with lots of mistakes and holes in it)! Hopefully someday I will be good enough at it to call it a talent. Not there quite yet, but I love it! Here I'm making a ball of yarn from a skein of yarn. My first time I did it all by hand and with McKay's help. It took me over an hour. But, with this "stick trick" I devised, it only took about 20 minutes and was very easy!

Hey there fellow knitting buddy. I love to knit also. I however started knitting a blanket for Kendyl before she was born, but it is still only half done. Props on completing your projects. I am so happy that you have found that knitting is a nice and fun hobby,it is great me time. Someday you look back on the bookmark and love it because it was you first, and probbly have a good laugh at how much better you have got. That's what I did. good luck in future knitting endevers.

You're HOW old??? I thought there was a rule on how old you had to be before you could start knitting.
You know I'm joking and love new hobbies! You're amazing!

Amanda..yay for a knitting buddy! I have faith that you can finish that blanket before she's one! I challenge you to do it. Knit while you watch a movie or tv, or when you're chatting with your sweetheart. Also,I saw a woman wearing a dress, entirely knitted, on a website the other day. I don't ever intend to get that good...it looked awful!

Okay grandma Kara. What are you 80? No, I'm just jealous that you are ambitious enough to take up a new hobby. I'm still trying to finish my cross-stitch from the third grade!
