Emerson wanted to make his own scarf, so I cut 2 pieces of this lovely yellow material and he sewed them together and cut slits in the ends. He did it himself and now he wants to make one for McKay. Who ever knew my boys would want to be so domestic??

That's great! My kids (including all the boys) made beanbags a couple weeks ago and loved it. :) You should try finger knitting with the kids too--mine enjoy that in the winter. And the yellow looks great on the lime green--lol!
Now can you get him to do dishes and clean the bathroom? I am totally in love with Emerson! The other night, after McKay jumped off our top bunk, I saw Emerson begin following suit - but when he got to the edge and saw how far down it was, knowing his limitations, he turned around and gently went down backwards. I thought it was so sweet that he was not embarrassed in front of everyone and I did not have to make an emergency trip to the ER! He also helped my little Emily seek out the hider in "sardines" a few times. How adorable is that boy!!!
